Tadcaster Guitar Lessons is a tutor based in Tadcaster
Our guitar teacher studied at the Keech School of Music and Performance in Hull as a youngster. He also played Jazz and Rock guitar and was in the Medieval Music band. He studied Music Theory up to Grade 8 with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and began teaching at age 15 having achieved Grade 8 Classical Guitar.
He went on to teach at the Keech School of Music where he taught singing, drums, electric, acoustic and and bass guitar to small groups of children aged between 7 and 15. To further his professional career he attended seminars to study to teach for Yamaha Schools of Music, Guitar encounters and gained professional qualifications from the school as a result
As a professional musician he has travelled throughout the UK and Europe where he built a successful career as a lead vocalist and guitarist, he has also spent time as a session player working with a number of bands. Over the last seven years he has been performing as a solo artist and has been advertised by one of his agents as “One of the finest rock guitarists in the U.K”. He considers himself privileged to have performed in some amazing venues including The Leeds Town and Country Club, The Beatles Cavern Club in Liverpool, The Ballroom at Blackpool Tower and St. James Park football stadium.
He adores teaching, whether you are just starting to play or you are a more advanced guitarist looking for some fresh tips and techniques, please get in touch. He works for and is affiliated with two music boards – the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (A.B.R.S.M.) and London College of Music (LCM). He will guide you through the grades on acoustic, electric or classical guitar, where you will also benefit from his sound knowledge of Music Theory.
