Hit made even bigger by comic Peter Kay. We watched Charlie (guitarist) play and he uses an open E chord with everything else played as a barre chord as per our tab. It starts in a very staccato way, but when the chorus comes it is strummed without dampening. The turn around comes in 2/3rds of the way through the song and again is played with a barre chord C#.
