My Generation - The Who Tabbed For Guitar

Classic rock/mod song from the 1960’s by The Who. The timing is very important, its just a straight 4/4, so 1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4 all the way through the song and played with downstrokes throughout. The song starts off using a barred ‘A’ chord and a ‘G’ just using one finger for each. Take care to dampen out the A string on the ‘G’ chord and also try not to strike the ‘B’ & ‘high E’ strings. During the second section, Pete Townsend (guitarist) plays the A note and the G note quietly.
