Fantastic way to liven up your pentatonic playing by giving it a slight twist. This was a popular way that Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac guitarist/singer) and BB King would play. The concept is simple. Its just a matter of flattening the 7th note in the minor scale – in A as shown here that note is G and we are taking it down one fret to an F#.
