Why Should A Guitarist Teach Guitar
Nick McCann is a My Guitar Lessons teacher with who is DBS certified, has a BA Hons Degree in Popular Music and is grade 8 in guitar. This is his story on why he joined My Guitar Lessons: ‘At the start of 2016 I decided to take the plunge and pursue my passion for teaching guitar to a new level. I spent the next few months researching and educating myself on how to go about things and taught one student privately to give me some experience.
In April 2016 I signed up and joined the team at My Guitar Lessons to become a tutor with them. I chose to do so after seeing the quality of the website they could provide and the amount of exposure they could help generate for very little money per month, this was also a great weight off my mind allowing me to focus on the actual job of teaching.
Since then I am happy to say it was a good decision for me. My student register has increased to 7 student’s equating to 7 hour’s private tuition every week and I have also gained a job at a local primary school one day a week where I teach a total of 13 Student’s in 20 minute lesson slot’s. So that’s 20 students a week!
Currently teaching guitar is my secondary job but thanks to the help of My Guitar Lessons the future look’s bright and I fully believe come next Year I could quit my primary job and begin the journey into teaching full time’.
