Don Adam Perera is a guitar tutor based in Greenwich, in London. Don will teach children (DBS checked) and adults and beginners to advance. He will travel to you anywhere in London. His lessons are fun and informative. He is a classically trained guitarist, multi-instrumentalist and composer. Don received a 2.1 for his Bachelor of Music degree from Trinity College of Music – London in 2011.

Don has spent several Years teaching in schools, educational camps. He completed his Master of Music in Classical Guitar Performance with merit in 2016.

Don has worked within ECaM (Every Child a Musician) at four different schools in the Newham area teaching between 5 and 30 pupils per class. Although he specialises in the guitar, he has also taught keyboard as well as musicianship.

Don has a DBS check from this year and has worked with four schools in the Newham area teaching via the ECaM musical educational charity programme (Every Child a Musician).

In lessons, he places strong emphasis on higher artistic interpretation and its presentation, tone production, effective learning/practice strategies, memorization skills, posture/alignment, sight-reading, music fundamentals/theory, and ear training. In order to maintain motivation hs incorporates folk, popular and traditional music into the curriculum to match the needs and interests of his pupils. Don is also able to prepare students for competitions, music festivals, and university- and college- entrance auditions
