RGT – ‘Registry of Guitar Teachers’ to launch non guitar exam.

In a strange twist the Registry of Guitar Tutors or RGT are to launch non guitarist exams. Guitarists we have spoken to find this to be rather novel and not at all in keeping with an accredited guitar endorsed exam, teacher and student body. The RGT’s website says ‘Graded exams for ukulele are soon to be released by RGT. The exams will start from Initial Stage (suitable for beginners) and cater for all styles of uke playing. You’ll be able to upload a video or audio recording of your ukulele playing to have it professionally assessed and gain a Performance Award’. This will be launched at the RGT guitar conference in September.
