London Guitar Teacher Talks About His Success With My Guitar Lessons.

David Bubb talks about why he decided to join My Guitar Lessons. ‘I met ‘My Guitar Lessons’ and they introduced me to an awesome music teaching opportunity – I saw fit straight away. So far I’m teaching 6 students a week – 2 children and I’ve got 2 new drummers and hopefully 2 new guitarists starting since I set up with them. I’m currently making £280 per month and that will increase quite hugely with the new students coming in.

Initially I was pretty uncertain about how to approach people, but I’ve had 6 students so far. It was very easy to set everything up. Once a session has been arranged between the tutor and the client, they arrange a location of tuition.

I’ve basically already started my semi-career as a part-time Guitar Tutor and Drum Tutor. It gives you the chance to show off your best skills and shares them with people who think of you as a role model and the coolest person in the room. I think of it this way: once you’re really skilled at something, why not teach it? It’s an experience which boosts your creativity, confidence and connection network and is definitely something worth trying.

In the near future I plan on continuing my semi-career by teaching my current students, inviting new ones and working abroad in America once again. Teaching is something I now have a lot of experience in. After graduating and potentially working abroad again I plan on teaching in a schools and, after having some industry experience whether in production, performance or both, start teaching in a university whether in the UK or abroad’.
