London Guitar Lessons Now In Islington

We are delighted to welcome a our newest teacher from Islington in London, Mr Greg Davies. Greg is a competent, versatile person with a passion for music. Left school after GCSEs and began working whilst gaining experience as a teacher. Greg is a session musician, songwriter and guitar/bass teacher whose versatility extends to Jazz, Blues, Soul, Reggae, Funk, Rock, Metal, Pop and Hip Hop. His intuitive knowledge of music and great musical ear is supported by a solid foundation of theory. He even has his own music theory website! He listens to all genres of music, old and new, giving a vast knowledge of most styles. His competence as a professional was demonstrated when he toured Europe as Bassist with ‘Micheal J Sheehy and the Hired Mourners’ at the age of 18.

“I believe that in addition to the benefits of education, playing and having fun is vital to the personal and cultural growth of any individual. Music has the power to promote creative expression and build confidence through sharing ideas. It inspires people of all abilities to learn and, most importantly, to want to learn. For more information please feel free to contact me.

I began teaching in 2010 at CCP (County Community Projects) working alongside Malaki Patterson (CCP Studio Manager, Music Producer and Manager) helping young musicians to succeed. I was introduced to George Moorey (Music Leader and Director at WIRED in Gloucester) and Matt Booth (Director at Bristol Music Foundation). I was encouraged to grow as a musician, providing workshops at Pittville School, Wychwood 2010, End Of The Road 2010, WIRED Summer Sound 2010 and Cheltenham Music Seminar 2011. In 2010, I worked at Teenage Rampage as Area Coordinator for Gloucestershire identifying, supporting, mentoring and networking young musicians and young people providing genuine links to performance opportunities, professional work and careers. In 2011, I studied with Music Leader at Colston Hall in Bristol. I am a member of Musicians Union, Trinity Rock, Rock School and Youth Music Network.”
