My Guitar Lessons are pleased to announce guitar teacher Julian Symes has joined us. Julian is based in Canton, Cardiff and has been playing guitar for over 30 years featuring in stage shows, tribute bands, various duo’s and occasionally as a solo artist.
He currently plays lead guitar with Rockin’ 58, a 5 piece rock ‘n’ roll band based in Cardiff, South Wales. Jules predominantly uses a fingerpicking style influences include by Mark Knopfler, Albert Lee, Scotty Moore and his hero, James Burton.
Julian has also led guitar clubs at his former primary school to children between the ages 8-11 years. His patient and friendly approach inspires and motivates students to achieve their aims. Jules has a dedicated music room that includes a PC based multi-track system, this offers numerous possibilities for students to record and practice along at their own pace. This is also where his band recorded and produced their debut album. Julian teaches guitar to complete beginners upward and is also mobile to teach students in their own homes.
