A few Months ago we where lucky enough to meet up with the great Doug Aldrich who plays for David Coverdales Whitesnake and has played with many other top bands like Quiet Riot. Our tutors and students spent some time with him pre show to get hints and tips on what its like to be a guitar rock-star. We where then whisked away and taken for a tour of the Marshall factory, where Doug’s and many other superstar guitarists amps are made. We got to see the new Yngwie Malmasteen and Slash (Guns and Roses) amplifiers in pre-prodution. We then went on to the Marshall museum to see Jim Marshalls very first amplifier, along with Jeff Beck and Gary Moores amps and Dave Mustaine and Eric Claptons guitars. Afterwards we where all treated to a show with Doug Aldrich at the Marshall Theatre.
As you will see we took footage of the day including the masterclass from Doug, the moment one of our ‘My Guitar Lessons’ students got to play with Doug and the full Marshall tour of the factory and the museum.
