Cornwall Guitar Lessons Now Available

We are delighted to announce that guitar tutor James Dixon based in Bude, Cornwall has joined My Guitar Lessons to become our first Cornwall guitar teacher. James has over 20 year experience of playing the guitar. Mainly having focused on the acoustic guitar in recent years, he started playing and being taught on the electric guitar. James has taught guitar previously as well as sold guitars in guitar shops throughout the years. A professional touring musician, James tours around the world in the winter months and teaches and performs at gigs in the summer months. James is proficient at fingerstyle folk and blues techniques as well as flat picking. As a guitar teacher James has experience teaching those pupils interested in learning about aspects of basic chord structures, song construction, chord progressions, open tunings, traditional finger-picking techniques, using a slide, kit selection and also various funk rhythm techniques. However he does not teach grades or any formal music theory. If you are looking for teaching which is based around feel and groove rather than rigid theory then this may be for you.

Personality wise, James is a big bearded bear, big smile and a lot of curly hair. Based in North Cornwall in the Bude area, he surfs all the time he can when not writing and performing his own music. Lessons should be fun and that’s how he works.

For lessons with James please check out his webprofile at www.myguitarlessons.co.uk/tutors/jamesdixon201 or email him at JamesDixon201@MyGuitarLessons.co.uk
