How To Cope With Bad Practice Days On Guitar

Sometimes, things are just not working on the guitar. We can’t focus, can’t play like normal… we’re just having a bit of an off day. On these days, try and find something that you can do. Maybe it’s something like jamming along to a backing track. Or practice a simple scale much slower than usual. Or taking some normal aspect of your practice routine and just doing 10 minutes on it before calling it quits. Find something that you can do, so that you avoid days where you don’t do anything. If you allow yourself days to do nothing (aside from your rest day), then you will find these days become more frequent.

If you get yourself doing something, even if it isn’t for long, you will find you have fewer unproductive days and also develop your work routine.
