Is Being A Guitar Teacher A Good Career Path?

Ben is a ‘My Guitar Lessons’ tutor based in Birmingham. Here is what he said about the support we gave him to assist in building his student numbers and earning a wage from teaching guitar;

“Before signing up to ‘My Guitar Lessons’ I’d been trying to start my own teaching business for the past 6 months. During that time I had gained just 3 students. After joining ‘My Guitar Lessons’ I started receiving enquiries with in just 2 weeks and gained another student with in 3 weeks and more were soon to follow.”

‘My Guitar Lessons’ helped me sort out what I had to do with regards to dealing with the tax office through to how to go about being ‘officially’ self employed. The lessons gave me a kick-start with my structured teaching plans, plus it gave me ideas on how to develop my own lessons. The DBS check has been vital for teaching children – I keep it pinned up in my teaching room with my diploma – parents love seeing it!

‘My Guitar Lessons’ has given me a direction to being able to make a living as a music tutor”
