New Album From Guitar Teacher Could Be Best Ever – Mister-Pink
My Guitar Lessons approved guitar teacher and musician Simon Devlin has released another new CD from his top 10 rock band ‘Mister-Pink’. And this time he says its the best album the band have done. Recorded partly at Abbey Road Studios and partly at home during the covid lockdown the album features some amazing numbers which are destined to become rock classics for all music lovers.
And above all we have had a sneak preview of the tracks and have already voted it ‘Best Album of The Year’.
Ray of Light – the album’s title track is a big sounding monster of a song, weaving big guitar chords into intricate arpeggios and Bonham esq drum sounds. A real heavy pound for pound Tyson Fury of a song all about the sun and its requisite for life on planet Earth.
She Got Me – Goes from a chord layered almost Jeff Buckley sounding track straight into an AC/DC driven number, similar to the Bon Scott era. Try not to tap your foot and sing along to this one.
Pageant Queen – This could be the hit single from the album, almost Green Day with cheese, simple but very catchy. Check out the amazingingly funny video the band made for this song on their website.
Born to Ride – from the very start you won’t be mistaken to hear that its a motorbikers song. The intro is an amazing piece of guitar work, firstly mimicking a motorbike revving its engine, then an amazing Yngwie run with a bluesy lick at the end. The tracks all about riding back at night to see your girl. Love it and so will bikers.
Broken Man – Hendrix feeling with guitar solos coming in from all directions. This track was written out in German when the band got literally snowed in at a venue, so decided to use the down time to write new songs.
It’s Christmas Time! – Another hit in the seasonal sense, very Slade like and very effective. Put this on your christmas list, you won’t be disappointed.
