Can you help?

When a musicians loose their equipment its not always just a piece of kit that does a particular job it can be something that has become part of them.  Some items you keep have a sentimental history and become your treasure like anything you wish to hold on to so when someone decides they want to steal something all this is taken away! Its always a sad case for anyone who has to experience this so if you can help at all do get in touch with the owner.

Guitarist, studio owner and Fret-King artist Iain Clarke has suffered a real blow at the hands of hearltess theives last week when his studio was broken into and around £40,000 worth of musical equipment stolen, including his prized Fret-King Green Label Semi-tone Deluxe guitar (Serial Number 02217 pictured above).

The theft, from Black Valve Recording Studio, Stockfield Mill, Melbourne Street, Oldham, happened on Monday 28th August between 2am and 6am.

“Who ever did this came prepared with crowbars, drills and angle grinders,” says Iain “and they must have had a very large van in order to get all this in, or perhaps even two vans.”

Whilst Iain does have insurance, it probably won’t begin to cover the amount of equipment that has been taken, and it looks unlikely that he will be able to reopen the studio.

A link to the full list of stolen items is here – if anyone has any information please contact Oldham Police on 0161 872 5050 quoting crime number 228231N/17
