Stainless steel Tone Up bridge saddles

Sever Innovations has introduced its new range of stainless steel electric guitar string saddles. The new replacement bridge saddles are from the firm’s Tone Up’s premium range of guitar parts. The range promises improved tone, increased sustain, and better string response, attack and dynamics.

The Tone Up replacement saddles, springs, intonation screws and saddle-height adjustment screws are all precision-crafted from high quality stainless steel. Compared to mild steel, zinc or brass, stainless steel has the fastest sound frequency transmission and natural sustaining properties – and of course, it won’t corrode or rust.

Users can expect palm-friendly muting and a generally smooth topped array of saddles for the strumming hand, with all saddle height-adjustment screws remaining recessed within the body of the saddle.

Each individual saddle spring features an oval end-on-end design. Not only does this help maintain continuity of string frequencies and enhance sustain, it also applies even pressure across the back of the saddle and the lip of the base plate. This attention to detail maintains saddle orientation and prevents sideways movement of the saddle itself when string bending.

A shallow string groove runs from the rear of the saddle to the point where the string exits the saddle, this not only assures accurate string and saddle alignment, but also stops any potential string buzz. The new Tone Up stainless steel electric guitar string saddles come in a set of six. They are available for string spacing widths of 10.4mm, 10.8mm and 11.2mm.
