Today Would Have Been Jimi Hendrix Birthday

The guitar genius James Marshall Hendrix was born 74 years ago today. Jimi’s amazing guitar skills changed not only guitar playing styles but music forever. He was an innovator in his technique, often employing double stops to act as chords, lightening quick rhythm styles and the wild, over the top feedback. He played very loud through his Marshall JTM45’s and several 4×12 Marshall cabinets with a flipped over Fender Stratocaster. His blues and soul background fused with some Dylan style ballads reinvented the way we play.
