Fretfunk’s Picture Rail Guitar Hanger

Fretfunk’s Picture Rail Guitar Hanger allows you to hang a guitar, banjo or ukulele from a picture rail instead of using a wall hanger. A great DIY-free solution for hanging your guitar!  This guitar hanger allows you to hang guitars and other stringed instruments (mandolin, ukulele, banjo, violin) from your wall with no drilling or DIY. The hanger fits onto a picture rail and the adjustable jaws of the hanger can move to ensure that the guitar is held firmly in place.

The picture rail guitar hanger comprises a steel bracket for hooking over the top of the picture rail, and rests against the wall below to ensure that the hanger stays vertical.  A guitar hook is attached to the bracket which has adjustable jaws so that it can adjust to the width of the guitar (or mandolin, ukulele, banjo, violin) and hold the instrument firmly in place.

Each side of the jaws adjusts independently so that asymmetric guitar heads can be accommodated, such as those on Fender Stratocasters and Ibanez RG guitars.

Another great advantage of these guitar hangers is that you can move them around whenever you want.  When you screw a wall hanger into your walls you’re pretty much stuck with the location of the guitar.  When you have picture rails and use a Fretfunk Picture Rail Guitar Hanger you can rearrange your guitars whenever you feel like it.

To hang the guitar: Position the Picture Rail Guitar Hanger onto your picture rail in the correct location and open the jaws of the hanger as wide as they will go. Lift the guitar onto hanger so that the head of the guitar rests on the jaws of the hanger; the weight of the guitar will act to tighten the jaws and keep the guitar in place.

To unhang the guitar: Simply lift the guitar upwards so that the head of the guitar is clear of the hanger’s jaws, then lift clear.

Suitable for:

Electric guitar
Acoustic guitar
Bass guitar
Ukulele
Banjo
Mandolin
Violin

WARNING:  Most picture rails that are screwed or nailed to the wall are easily strong enough, but you should test that your picture rail can take the weight of the guitar.
