Relish Guitars, has launched an innovative new electric guitar
Swiss guitar manufacturer, Relish Guitars, has launched an innovative new electric guitar that pairs a chambered aluminium and wood body with a distinctive, modern design. Named Jane, the new model is three years in the making and is the brainchild of the company’s joint owners, The Relish Brothers.
Designed to deliver a unique sound with extensive sustain, the guitar’s body is described by the firm as a sandwich – the middle layer is made from one piece of aluminium, while the back and front are made out of moulded wood veneer. The maple neck is covered with a bamboo fretboard.
Additional features include LED illuminated touch sensor pickup selectors that turn the pickups on and off. The Jane is available in five different finishes – Walnut, Cherry, Ashy, Bordeaux and Snow Jane. The firm is also launching a new guitar called Mary. that allows players to access the inside of the guitar with no need to remove any screws by opening the back-lid to get to the electronics, which can easily be adapted and customised. Furthermore, users can replace the pickups simply by lifting them out and swapping them over.
The three-layer construction is fixed by powerful magnets.
Relish Guitars will be launching a number of additional lines January 2016
