Guitarist George Benson Releases New Ibanez Model

It has been a good year for jazz artist George Benson. This past spring, Benson released The Ultimate Collection, a deluxe 2-CD 36-song compilation of some of his greatest hits, along with some very cool extended versions and rarities. Then this summer saw the introduction of a natural-finish version of his Ibanez signature model, the LGB30NT George Benson LGB30 Signature Guitar

Benson’s creative objective, while working on his new model with Ibanez, was to design a guitar that reflected his playing style, offered exceptional tone, a smooth playing experience, and (very importantly) was reasonably priced.

Upon receiving one of the original models, Benson immediately put his guitar to work on stage in concert. What he experienced shocked even him. “I love playing this (LGB30), the neck is so easily handled,” he explained. “Everything I reach for seems to be waiting for me.” Also mentioning he’s particularly fond of the way the LGB30 “howls” on the bluesy numbers.

Since its recent introduction, the LGB30 has become one of the most talked-about mid-priced jazz guitars in the last few years. The LGB30VYS (Vintage Yellow Burst) and the new LGB30NT (Natural) are available now at your authorized Ibanez dealer.
