Fancy Winning The London International Guitar Competition 2015?
My Guitar Lessons are very pleased to announce that the prestigious London International Guitar Competition is back for its third year. On Thursday 30th April the competition opened for applications for the first round of the competition and you have until Monday 29th June to apply! The first round audition repertoire for 2015 is:
-JS Bach: Prelude from BWV 996
-Manuel de Falla: Homenaje, sur le Tombeau de Claude Debussy
-Lennox Berkeley: Sonatine (1st movement only)
The first round is held on YouTube. Competitors upload a video of themselves playing all three pieces in the first round repertoire list and submit it for audition. All application information, rules, and conditions of the event can be found on the website here. Please read everything carefully before applying.
This guitar event offers three tier prizes of:
First Prize: £4,500
Second Prize: £1,000
Third Prize: £500
Expenses of £200 per concert
