Call for Young Guitar Artist Auditions

The International Guitar Foundation’s young artist platform is offering a unique opportunity for young guitarists in the early stages of their concert career. Aimed at the classical genre we had some extremely talented young artists who performed at IGF festivals and events across the country in 2014 We are pleased to announce that the date for the 2015 auditions is Saturday 7th March beginning at 9.30am. IGF’s YAP offers a unique opportunity for young guitarists in the early stages of their concert career.

A minimum of 2 players will be chosen to participate in the programme which consists of:

A minimum of three concerts at IGF’s 2014 Festivals including London Guitar Festival, Bath Guitar Festival, North East Guitar Festival and IGF’s summer school and festival Shrewsbury.

Workshops and mentoring sessions in London and Shrewsbury.

The workshop and mentoring programme will include subjects other than guitar playing which are essential to building a concert career such as marketing & PR, programming, music industry issues and commissioning new music.
