Led Zeppelin Guitarist Jimmy Page Has Lots Of New Material.
It was only 2 weeks ago that we reported that Jimmy Page, legendary guitarist was meeting My Guitar Lessons guitar teachers in London. Well he is now telling us thate: “I’m playing guitar … I’ve got new material I’ve written”. Jimmy Page is stoking ongoing speculation that he might soon tour and perhaps record new material.
The veteran guitarist said the Led Zeppelin reissue project has been part of a long-range plan. “I’ve got a plan that’s going to last a few years, and this is part of it,” he says. Page revealed that if he does record, he will likely use analog tape. “It’s all about capturing the performance, as opposed to piecing it all together digitally,” he says. “I personally would want to stake my reputation probably on something like that.”
Page added that a substantial part of his “game plan” would involve live shows. “I’m playing guitar at the moment, because I’m starting to get ready,” he said. “I’ve got new material I’ve written, and it will be surprising. I don’t want to go out there and bore people. If I were doing a show, I would like to show what I’ve done along the way, but definitely also have musical surprises. It’s going to be sparkling, stimulating to the senses.”
