Aerosmith Guitarist Plays With Johnny Depp On Christmas Release.

’Tis the season — to release holiday-themed music. Aerosmith’s Joe Perry has released a new Christmas CD, and it features actor/guitarist/all-round-cool-guy Johnny Depp on guitar and vocals. Depp plays guitar on four songs and he sings on two.

Joe Perry says he’s wanted to record a Christmas album with Aerosmtih for years, but the time was never right to do it. “When myRocks book tour ended, the timing was right …we were in L.A. with access to a studio with some really talented friends and it all fell together. I was finally able to record some Christmas classics for the fans.”

The album includes instrumental arrangements of “White Christmas” and “Silent Night,” as well as vocal versions of the Chuck Berry classic “Run, Rudolph, Run” and Elvis Presley’s “Santa’s Back in Town.” Joe Perry’s Merry Christmas is available from the Unison Music Group and on iTunes. Perry’s book Rocks: My Life In and Out of Aerosmith is out now.
