Worlds Most Iconic Acoustic Guitars.

We love all guitars so here we are looking at some iconic acoustic guitars that you have voted for in a guitar pole. So here is list of the most incredible acoustic six-strings in history.

In Reverse order;

10. Elvis Presley’s 1956 Gibson J-200

Making sure that the list kicks off in style, the King is in the building with his 1956 Gibson J-200.

9. Eddie Vedder’s Vintage Martin Acoustic

Pearl Jam vocalist Eddie Vedder likes to wield an acoustic six-string from time to time, and he became quite recognizable by his all-mahogany vintage Martin with glossy finish. The one with the sticker, some might say.

8. Gibson Chet Akins

This one was brought up by franciscanavarn, who pointed out that the Gibson Chet Atkins is “not just used by the great man himself, but by players such as James Hetfield and even Yngwie.”

7. Johnny Cash’s Martin D-35

Up next is the Man in Black. Appropriately enough, his acoustic guitar is also black.

6. Kurt Cobain’s Martin D-18e

Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged performance is arguably one of the most legendary acoustic performances of all time, rightfully earning Kurt Cobain’s Martin D-18e a spot on the list.

5. Seasick Steve’s Acoustic Parlour

The one and only Mr. Seasick Steve. ‘Nuff said.

4. Woody Guthrie’s ‘This Machine Kills Fascists’ Guitar

Back in 1941, Woody Guthrie took a stance agains fascism the best way he could – with his six-string. His “This Machine Kills Fascists” guitar is a thing of legend these days.

3. Robert Johnson’s Gibon L-1

As milospf88 nicely pointed out, this is “the one that the devil tuned at the crossroads, and made him the greatest guitar player of all time.”

2. Willie Nelson’s Trigger Guitar

Ever since 1969 (that would be 45 years), Willie Nelson played one guitar and one guitar only – the Trigger, which actually happens to be a Martin N-20.

1. Jack Black’s Double Cutaway

Sorry everyone, but this acoustic baby was used to defeat the devil, so the throne it is.
