Jimmy Page Fed Up With Waiting For Reunion Shows

Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page is fed up with fellow band mate Robert Plant for persistently delaying plans for their reunion shows.

The rock legends famously came together to rapturous acclaim in December 2007 for a one-off concert at London’s O2 arena.

The question of further concerts has lingered ever since but Page believes Plant is holding matters up saying: “He’s just playing games and I’m fed up with it to be honest with you.”

Jimmy, 70, said: “I was told last year that Robert Plant said he is doing nothing in 2014 and what do the other two guys think?

“Well he knows what the other guys think.

“Everyone would love to play more concerts for the band,” he said.

“I don’t sing so I can’t do much about it.

“So it just looks very unlikely doesn’t it?”

Speaking of his feelings about further gigs, the co-writer of rock classics such as Whole Lotta Love and Stairway To Heaven stated: “I definitely want to play live.

“Because you know I have still got a twinkle in my eye.

“I can still play.

“So, yeah, I will just get myself into musical shape, just concentrating on the guitar.”

During recent press conferences for the pending reissue of Led Zeppelin’s albums, Plant insisted that he wasn’t “part of a jukebox”.

He adds: “Do you know why The Eagles said they would reunite when ‘hell freezes over’ but they did it anyway and keep touring?

“The tour was not because they were paid a fortune.

“It is not about the money.

“It is because they are bored.

“I’m not bored.”
