Slash Joins Aerosmith Onstage for Worst ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ Cover Ever

Announcing their upcoming joint North American “Let Rock Rule” tour, Slash and Aerosmith took to the Whisky a Go Go stage to mark the occasion in an appropriate rocking manner.

But once the guys charged through “Mama Kin,” Joe Perry kicked off the “Welcome to the Jungle” riff, leading into one of the worst and most awkward live renditions of the classic track.

Apart from the band being disorganized, Steven Tyler didn’t exactly figure out the lyrics. So as Metal Sucks guys point out, instead of the usual “Welcome to the jungle / We’ve got fun ‘n’ games / We got everything you want / Honey, we know the names” verse, we got this:

“Welcome to the jungle / Gunnasendee-ee / Whatchugottofeeluhmove / But you wanna go back with me”

But it was all good fun and hardly anyone was offended.
