Viv Campbell Writing Solo Album
Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell has confirmed he’s working on his second solo album.
It means he’s pulling double duties as Def Lep prepare to record new music in February.
But it shouldn’t be a problem for Campbell, who likes to keep busy – and recently explained how hard work had kept him motivated during his fight with cancer earlier this year.
He says via Facebook: “A few peeps have asked questions about my upcoming recordings, so here are some of the facts: I’m making a rock record (lots of guitar).
“I intend to sing – however, I may ask a real singer to help out if I fail miserably at the demo stages.
“I’m also writing for Def Leppard (we all are) as Leppard will be recording new music in February. So, all in all it’s a busy time creatively.”
Earlier this year Campbell reactivated the original line-up of Dio, without the late frontman, and toured as Last In Line – although the band’s schedule was compromised by the guitarist’s health issues.
His first solo release was 2005′s Two Sides of If.
