Nick Catanese Leaves Black Label Society

Long time Black Label Society guitarist Nick Catanese has left the band in what has been described as an amicable split, Blabbermouth reports.

In a statement, the remaining members of the band have stated that they “wish [Nick] the very best in his future musical endeavors” and that a replacement guitarist will be announced soon.

Black Label Society are currently holed up in Zakk Wylde’s home studio, working on a new record. The frontman had the following to say about the record in an appearance at Bass Player Live:

“We’re working on a new studio album right now, so that’s gonna be coming out probably – hopefully in April we’ll wrap up that sucker, it’ll be out in April.”

Wylde also joked that some of the content of the new album may be familiar to fans:

“It’s all going to be all completely the same as the last nine records, except just different song titles [laughs].”
