Def Leppard will return to Las Vegas for a second residency, guitarist Phil Collen has confirmed.
Earlier this year they played a month of Viva! Hysteria shows during which they played their classic 1987 album in full.
Now they aim to deliver a show based on Pyromania, the 1983 record that propelled them into the big time.
Collen tells Billboard: “The Vegas thing was amazing. So we’re going to be doing Viva! Pyromania at some point at the end of next year.”
First they’ll convene in Ireland to make the follow-up to 2008′s Songs From The Sparkle Lounge, which they’ve been writing for some time.
And Collen reports that they’ve been thinking about the lessons learned from previous albums as they gear up to record. “Slang was very raw,” he says of Def Lep’s 1996 record. “It’s us playing live, and everyone hated it. You learn from that – you don’t want to cop out too much.”
