Paul McCartney has called on musicians including Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke to work with him on a collaboration, but worries that Yorke won’t be interested.
In a new interview with NME the Beatles singer said he’s love to work with others including Blur’s Damon Albarn, partly prompted by his daughter Stella McCartney who is a fan of them.
“My daughter Stella is very keen. She’s got a project, she keeps saying to me, ‘Ring Thom and just go into the studio and just see what you come out with … [but] I’m a bit sort of paranoid to just ring him up. ‘Hey Thom, it’s Paul here. What do you fancy, what are you doing? Do you fancy writing something?’ Just in case he says, ‘Er, actually I’m busy’.” But there is one major artist who McCartney is verst seriously considering working with. “There were big rumours a couple of years ago about me and Bob Dylan writing together, and I’ve still got that at the back of my mind. I would like to do it,” he says. McCartney’s new album titled “New” will be out on October 14, and features production from the likes of Mark Ronson and Adele producer Paul Epworth.
