Muse to Show Hollywood the Way Forward
Muse are set to show Hollywood the future of moviemaking as they confirm plans to release a live concert filmed using cutting-edge technology which is being tipped to become industry standard for blockbuster movies.
The band filmed Live at Rome Olympic Stadium in front of a full house of more than 60,000 fans using 4K, a new format meaning more pixels which burst off the screen in every frame, and a staggering four times more than the standard in the cinema.
Dubbed Ultra High Definition, the new format will give Muse fans the chance to experience the full visual spectrum of their Rome stadium show in the comfort of their own home.
In addition to pin-sharp images the movie, shot in July this year, also provides fans with shots of the Stadio Olympico and incredible views from ‘spider’ cameras darting above the surging crowd and on stage close-ups that expose the musical mastery and showmanship of the trio.
Next month, 20 cinemas in 20 different cities across the world will host a special advance screening of Muse – Live at Rome Olympic Stadium exclusively in 4K. The unique screenings will start in Sydney and finish in Los Angeles, taking in other capital cities throughout the day including Tokyo, Rome, Paris, London and Rio.
Following the advance screenings, the film will be released in over 40 territories worldwide. In the UK, the film will screen in over 100 cinemas for one night only on the 7th November exclusively in 4K Ultra High Definition.
