Iron Maiden Make $15m For Just 9 Shows

Iron Maiden have raked in more than $15m in ticket sales from just nine live shows to cement their position at the top of Billboard’s Hot Tours List for the third time in a year.

The legendary rockers shot to the top of the pile by making the huge amount from their final nine shows of the group’s Maiden England world tour which set off in June 2012.

Over the two-year span of the entire tour Maiden ticket sales were reported to be more than $57m from 54 concerts where total attendance soared above 903,000.

The tour began in North America last summer and Europe this year, before returning across the Atlantic for a second breeze through US cities in September, and ending in Latin America with a stadium tour, the final show taking place in Santiago, Chile.
