Dave Mustaine to Perform With San Diego Symphony
Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine will be joining the San Diego Symphony Orchestra next year, as part of a special “Symphony Interrupted” concert.
Fans expecting a Symphony and Megadeth performance however, may be disappointed, as the gig is a strictly classical affair. Mustaine will be participating in a program that includes Wagner’s “Ride of the Valkyries” from “Die Walkure,” Vivaldi’s “Winter” from “The Four Seasons” and Dvorak’s “Symphony No. 9” (the “New World” symphony).
The show will take place at Copley Symphony Hall in San Diego, California, on Saturday April 12th. The news comes after Mustaine dropped a big hint that Megadeth will be playing the entirety of their 1994 “Youthanasia” album on an upcoming tour. The album would be the third classic record that the band have played in full in recent years, following run throughs of 1990’s “Rust in Peace” and 1992’s “Countdown to Extinction.”
