Pat Travers will tour the UK in October in support of latest album Can Do, which was released in July.
The Canadian axeman says he’s harked back to his 70s and 80s eras on the record. He explains: “When I was contacted by Frontiers they asked me if I could create some music reminiscent of my earlier albums.
“What made those records different was that I was allowed the luxury of spending some time in the studio without any outside influences. That’s when I could get really creative.
“Frontiers let me have the time I needed to work on the songs and production. The beginning of 2012 was a particularly creative period for me, and I believe I’ve written some of my best material ever for Can Do.”
The Pat Travers Band features guitarist Kirk McKim, bassist Rodney O’Quinn and drummer Sandy Gennaro.
