Rock And Roll Exhibition Launches In Newcastle

A Rock and Roll exhibition featuring the photographs of Gered Mankowitz and other memorabilia has been launched in Newcastle.

Mankowitz famously photographed Jimi Hendrix, as well as The Rolling Stones and Marianne Faithfull in the 1960s.

These works, amongst others, will be displayed for the next 12 months in a Georgian Townhouse in North Shields, which has been especially converted into an exhibition space.

Also on display will be Jimmy Page’s Frock Coat from the Yardbirds photoshoot Led Zeppelin did with Mankowitz and other memorabilia.
