Chris Cornell Announces US Acoustic Tour
Chris Cornell will be hitting the road this fall for what’s being dubbed the “Second Songbook Tour.” The Soundgarden frontman has been touring with the band in support of last year’s King Animal, and will feature solo arrangements from the album on the upcoming solo acoustic tour.
The new slate of dates pick up where Cornell’s 2011 solo “Songbook Tour” left off, and will again feature the singer-guitarist performing stripped-down versions from the Soundgarden catalog as well as solo work (presumably including work from his 2011 solo LP Songbook).
This year the singer-guitarist launched the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation, which aids needy children. One dollar from every ticket sold will go toward the foundation, and portions from additional proceeds will be donated to the ChildHaven’s Creative Music Therapy Program Expansion.
The tour is set to kick off October 15th in San Diego. Here are the dates:
