Pearl Jam will release their much-anticipated tenth studio album, Lightning Bolt, on Monkeywrench Records/Republic in October.
Produced by Brendan O’Brien, Lightning Bolt marks Pearl Jam’s first studio album since the highly acclaimed Backspacer, which was released nearly four years ago.
Lightning Bolt is available for pre-order now at http://www.pearljam.com/ and through iTunes. The first track off of the album, “Mind Your Manners” has been released worldwide and Wyatt Wendels gave it a first play on Planet Rock this morning.
Earlier this week, Pearl Jam announced a two-leg, 24-date North American tour. The first leg kicks-off in Pittsburgh on October 11 and wraps in New Orleans with the band’s previously announced headlining performance at Voodoo Music + Arts Experience during the weekend of November 1. The second leg of the tour commences in Dallas on November 15 and closes in the band’s hometown of Seattle on December 6.
