Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis was assaulted by security guards outside the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia on Friday, and TMZ has posted video of the incident.
The footage shows Kiedis and his girlfriend attempting to walk into the hotel as the Rolling Stones were leaving; the singer is then physically blocked by two plain-clothed security guards and restrained from entering the premises.
Keidis, who is wearing Four Seasons Hotel slippers and can be heard yelling, ‘I live here’, is then attacked by both bodyguards as local police enter the fray.
TMZ reports both the hotel and the Stones are denying that the security representative works for either of them, with a band source saying it’s possible the bodyguard was hired locally to supplement the band’s regular security.
The Peppers were set to play the Firefly Music Festival in Dover, Delaware on Friday, while the Stones were in Philly for two shows last week as part of their “50 & Counting” tour.
