Eric Clapton Cancels Shows

Eric Clapton is suffering from back pain and has been forced to cancel shows.

Clapton posted a message about his condition on his official website, which informed fans that concerts scheduled for 11th and 12th of June had been cancelled, and would be rescheduled for a later date.

A source close to the star described Clapton’s ailment as “a very severe backache” to Rolling Stone. Clapton has needed physiotherapy in the past in order to recover from the grueling nature of touring.

“He is currently with specialists who will be able to better determine the course of treatment. He was looking forward to these concerts and regrets that he is not to be able to perform for the fans,” read a follow-up statement. “He would like to apologize for any inconveniences these cancellations may cause and would like to thank the fans for their understanding. All tickets can be returned to the Box Offices for refund.”
