The Cult To Tour UK

Legendary band The Cult announce “ELECTRIC 13”, a full UK tour that will visit ten cities this October!

The critically acclaimed “Electric” album, the main musical focus of the tour, became the band’s first Platinum release in 1987.

It was supported by a world tour with none other than Guns N’ Roses in the opening slot for the North American leg, and quickly became a hit with fans. The album has since been featured in the book “1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.”

Millions of record sales later, and not content to simply rest on their laurels, Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy have already begun generating ideas for the next Cult record. Currently, they are aiming for a 2014 release.

And now they will hit the UK in a series of dates, proving their music can bring audiences to their feet just as quickly today as it could over two decades ago.

“The Cult needs to play to stay alive” says Astbury of the upcoming tour. “We are between albums and decided we wanted to continue the momentum of our last album COW, and stay in people’s hearts and minds. As LOVE was such an incredible experience, we have decided that performing ELECTRIC would be a great excuse to play out again.”
