T.Rex will reissue their 40 year old album The Slider. The album has been given a box set make-over by producer Tony Visconti.
The box set, which is out in November, will include B-sides and outtakes on top of a remastered version of the album. In addition, the set will include a previously unreleased demo of ‘The Slider’ title track that Visconti found in his own personal collection.
Ultimate Classic Rock reports that the collection will include a new 105-minute interview with Visconti by Marc Bolan biographer Mark Paytress.
Other bonus features include footage of ‘Telegram Sam’ and ‘Metal Guru’ from ‘Top of the Pops’; ‘Cadillac,’ ‘Spaceball Ricochet,’ and ‘Telegram Sam’ from ITV, a 1972 interview with Marc Bolan and Russell Harty; footage of Bolan with drummer Mickey Finn; a TV ad promoting ‘The Slider’ album and a promo film for ‘Buick Mackane.’
