Rolling Stones To Headline Glastonbury?

The Rolling Stones could be set to headline Glastonbury in 2013 if reports are to be believed.

The Sun, a tabloid newspaper, is claiming that Glastonbury boss Michael Eavis is trying to book the band who have never played the legendary festival because it might be his last chance.

The ‘Stones are set to celebrate their 50th anniversary as a band and have let slip that they’re about to embark on live dates in November, around the same time as their forthcoming hits compilation “Grrr!”.

“It would be a massive coup to get the band playing Glasto on what could be their last round of live dates,” a source told the Sun.

“Getting a decision from the whole band can be tough and at the moment they are without an agent for live shows, which is not helping the situation. But there is a good chance 2013 will finally be the year they make it.”

Yesterday the band debuted a brand new song “Doom And Gloom”, which you can hear in the player below. It’s one of two brand new songs along with “One More Shot” which will feature on “Grrr!”.
