Metal Clown Hit With Child Porn Charges

Metal drummer and vocalist Martin Evanick could be the scariest clown in history after being hit with federal child pornography charges.

Evanick has been accused of having sex with a female minor and taking close-up photos of her genitalia. Noisecreep reports that this is not an isolated incident.

He performs under the name Vlad and is often seen wearing grim clown makeup, and is being held without bail to prevent him going on the run.

Now his band The Core Of Your Nightmares have done everything they can to distance themselves from him, and in light of the charges have decided to change their name.

“We had no involvement or knowledge about these acts, and we in no way condone in such actions,” they wrote on their Facebook page. “What happened to him is unfortunate, but he brought it on himself.”

In a separate post, they added: “We DO NOT condone in any of the actions Vlad partook and we are appalled by his behavior. [He] never exhibited any kind of behavior that would make us suspect he would do what he did.”

He faces between 15 and 30 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
