Nick Harper – Relatively Unknown, But What A Guitarist

Without being known as a Guitar God ‘Nick Harper’ or Harpic to his friends has crept in under the radar. Son of folk legend Roy Harper, Nick spent many years growing up with guitar Gods like Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page as friends and mentors, so he was always going to be something special.

My Guitar Lessons spoke to Nick about this video and his influences and he said ‘The video was shot on a very cold day in my back garden. In fact it was so cold you may be able to make out the hot water bottle I had up my jumper!’ He also told as that he was influenced by the band Killing Joke. ‘Not so much the commercial numbers they did, but the political albums like 1994’s Pandemonium.‘ In fact he went on to say he introduced Jimmy Page to the band, and Jimmy ended up presenting them a prestigious rock award.
