Jeff Beck – UK’s Best Guitarist?

Jef Beck – a true British guitar hero. Here he shows his more delicate side, with just a Fender Stratocaster, a Marshall amp and a touch of delay he does things that most guitarists could only dream of. This has more soul than your local fishmongers. And the use of harmonics and whammy bar is used to such devastating effects its totally awesome. The arm is set real light, and there’s a roller nut so it stays in tune.

Jeff may not have that ‘Satriani appeal’ but he’s been doing some of the most amazing playing since Vai was in nappies, and we feel is so underrated we wanted to shout out about his amazing talents.

This track is from his ‘Guitar Workshop’ album, which if you like this track there are a few others on there that are similar, or check out the ‘Live at Ronnie Scotts’ DVD which is a true guitarists ‘must have’. Even Jimmy Page and Robert Plant who are both in the audience are suitably impressed.
